Capturing Lisbon's Enchanting Nights: Reflections on Imperfect Moments and Lasting Memories
Earlier this year, we made the trip to Portugal. Lisbon was the highlight of the trip for me. A beautiful city full of life and incredible light. What I found was that though the light during sunset and sunrise were incredible, city had this wonderful high contrast light at night.
The occasional rain in the even added to the atmosphere. The light reflecting off the wet pavement. It creates this mood and this atmosphere that I was happy to enjoy.
As I reflect a bit on this, I realize that I probably enjoyed the scene less during the moment than what I feel now. I think that is a good reminder for myself. It can be easy to let the moment feel imperfect and they all are imperfect but they are usually more than good enough. Especially when the things that aren't perfect are entirely out of your control. Focus on what's good and what's special about the moments and experiences. Those will be the memories that last.
